Enemies don't have less defense against certain types of damage, you actually receive bonus damage i.e. In DkS2, they took the idea and ran with it. Even if you just wanted to use melee you were going to upgrade it along an elemental path since it dealt more damage without stat support than a +10 normal with stat support.Ĥ) Fucked up melee damage type resistances- Dark Souls 1 enemies had different defenses against different types of damage, heavy armor is more vulnerable to blunt while fleshy enemies are more vulnerable to slash, personally I never found that it made enough difference that I had to use a different weapon. The main reason I hate this game is the fact that it has Dark souls in the title if it was just a shitty clone like Lords Of The Fallen I would like it much more.
